Muhittin Akyüz

Muhittin Akyüz was born in Istanbul in 1869. He is the son of Şevki Bey. He graduated from the Military Academy in 1888 and joined the army. In 1897, he participated in the war against Greece. He was promoted to general in 1914. He took part in the National Struggle. He served as the commander and governor of Adana. Later, he served as the ambassador of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey in Tehran and Cairo. In 1931, he entered the Parliament as a deputy for Kars and served as a member of parliament until his death on October 13, 1940. His known works are as follows:

Kürdili-Hicazkâr / Aksak: “Gidelim Semt-i Fener’e Gece Gündüz Çakalım."

Rast / Düyek: “Vatan Marşı – Cümle Millet Ferahladı."
